David Biggar gives tips on how to win at road races.

David Biggar - Hometown: Napa, California -- Age: 19 - David Biggar is the founder and lead broadcaster for VRN Radio. The Virtual Racing Network was founded in June 2007, and had picked up its first league (N4Nite's) in less than 2 weeks.

Previous to and during his broadcasting career, David drove several different series in rFactor and NASCAR Sim Racing, including Formula 1, V-8 Supercars, ALMS, Grand Am, Indy, Cup, Busch, Truck, and COT. He has wins across the board at various road courses around the world including his favorites, Montreal and Watkins Glen. David also owns the teams that he races with which also includes the driver Phillip Holifield, who has raced in all of the series David has, with similar success. David is always available to get into a car for road courses for any team, and he ran the VRN Radio at the Glen in 2007, and led on the way to finishing 4th. In late 2007, David drove a Trans Am Corvette to a 3rd place finish at the Glen. In 2008, David ran a few IROC races, and has plans to participate in 3-4 races in the N4N Sprint Cup Series, including the VRN All-Star Open.

Outside of virtual racing, David flies for his virtual airlines, Trans America Airways and NorthEast Air, online Flight Simulator 2004 and FSX. He also designs 3d models that are used in Flight Simulator games, as well as Pabst Racing tracks for NR2003 and GTR2. Aside from that, David knows HTML, XHTML, XML, and CSS, which he uses for web design.

In the real world, David is a crew member [and marketing director] for Motion Sickness Racing. Motion Sickness Racing fields the #44 and #20 (possibly #53 soon) Mazda Miatas in the Spec Miata Toyo series and the ITA Improved Touring series with the San Francisco Region of the SCCA. David is also studying to become a meteorologist at the University of California - Davis. And of course, David is a fan of NASCAR, specifically Matt Kenseth, Boris Said, Dale Earnhardt Jr, and Ron Fellows. If David could have any car, he would want a Toyota Avalon, Lotus Exige or a Chevrolet Corvette...anyone got some free cars?

Dave Porter - Hometown: Northern, California -- Age: 42 - Dave Porter is the president of the N4Nite's Racing League, and now a new broadcaster for VRN Radio. The 2007 N4N Nextel Cup was the final race of his career, for now...

Dave totalled 42 race wins over his 6 year career. Also, in that 6 years, he took the Championship 4 times in 2003, 2006, 2007 (Cup), 2007 (Busch). He was also Rookie of the Year in 2002. In 2006, he joined an elite group of drivers who have swept both road races in one NASCAR season. His biggest wins of 2007 came at Daytona (Daytona 500), Infineon, and Watkins Glen, with a total of 6 official cup wins.

Outside of virtual racing, Dave is the owner of SpeedPro Barriers, a wildlife control company, and is a nurse. As of last year, Dave had produced 2 "Do-It Yourself" like videos on the job as he dealt with bee hives and various birds. In 2006, he was also the Director of Operations for RSG (Race Servers Group) which N4Nite's used to be permanently hosted at.

Ben Simmons - Home-state: Pennsylvania -- Age: 31 - Ben came to N4Nites as a raw rookie in late May 2007, and made an impact in just his 5th race in the league with his first top 5 finish of his career at Watkins Glenn. Ben went on to capture 4 top 5’s, and 17 top 10’s in his first 19 races with N4Nites. Ben have been working hard on improving in 2008 cutting his teeth in many different series online capturing his first win in the Sunday Mornings RSRL Stock Car Series taking the checkered flag beating fellow N4Nites regular rtess to the finish. Ben came to N4Nites from a different form of competition, Semi-Pro Football Powerhouse Scranton Eagles. Playing Tight end, kicker and punter for the eagles, Ben moved to management for the team. Ben decided to move away from the football area to his other love racing, found new friends, and great competition.

Ben comes to VRN as one of our in race reporters as well as a pit reporter if he isn't racing.
