Welcome to VRN Radio - The Virtual Racing Network

This is the home of VRN Radio, the only station to bring you the N4Nite's Sprint Cup series, presented by Pabst Racing Simulators.

As you can see, we have updated the site to fit our updated broadcasting for the 2008 season. We have a new announcer joining David up in the booth, and we are going to cover more races this season. In fact, we are going to cover every race! Last year, Watkins Glen wasn't covered since the announcer was in the race, but this year Dave Porter (the new guy) will be covering both road races. The new format with 2 broadcasters will allow for a deeper analysis of the racing movements, and the background of drivers.

A great example of the deeper coverage will come at this year's Daytona 500. David Biggar will be covering the front stretch, as well as turns 1 and 4, while Dave Porter covers the back straight and turns 2 and 3. This essentially splits the track into 2 areas so that fans never miss any of the action. It also allows for cautions to be called out faster, and much quicker reviews of the cause.

Also this year, VRN Radio will have 2 in car reporters. Charles Moyer, driver of the #44 Chevrolet, will return in 2008 as an in car reporter for his second season. New to VRN in 2008 will be Ben Simmons, driver of the #12 Dodge, who will replace Dave Porter as the second in race reporter.

PLEASE NOTE: Our Teamspeak IP has changed!! Now tune into 76.103.120.159, we will possibly be switching to Shoutcast radio some time in the future. We apologize for the swap, it will probably happen once a week.

Driver Coaching

VRN Radio announcer David Biggar coaches drivers at Kayalami and Watkins Glen on NR2003 in his spare time. This year, he finished 4th and 3rd at the Glen in a Sprint Cup Ford and Trans Am Corvette in recent online races, while leading laps in each of the races. He can help any driver out at a road course, as long as they have a wheel and NR2003. Like Boris Said, David wants to teach other drivers so that fans, and other road course specialists get to have great races with other skilled drivers. "I want the field to beat me, then I know I have done a good job." To arrange for some help on tracks with both left and right turns, email David at david.biggar@gmail.com.
